XLI Exhibition of Sweets from Cloistered Convents
The heritage gastronomic event Exhibition of Sweets from Cloistered Convents gathers artisanal pastries made by the contemplative religious communities of the diocese. Organized by the Archdiocese of Seville, this charity fair allows you to acquire centuries-old recipes whose proceeds go entirely to the conservation of the Baroque and medieval monasteries of the province.
Located in the iconic Real Alcázar de Sevilla (Gothic Hall, with entrance through the Patio de Banderas), the fair brings together 19 convents that sell more than 200 traditional specialties such as San Leandro egg yolks, pestiños, marquesitas, polvorones, and cortadillos. The edition is held from December 5th to December 8th, opening in continuous hours from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM (the first day from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM).
Access to the fairground has free admission. Given the very high turnout and that sales continue only until stocks last, it is advisable to attend during the early hours of the morning.
