Exhibition 'Julio González. Forjar el vacío'

The headquarters of the Fundación Cajasol, located in the central Plaza de San Francisco, hosts the temporary exhibition Julio González: Forjar el vacío in its Sala Velázquez. This exhibition pays tribute to one of the great masters of 20th-century modern sculpture, a pioneer in the use of iron as a language of artistic expression in contemporary art.

Visitors can contemplate a carefully curated selection of iron sculptures, preparatory drawings, and sketches that document the evolution of the Catalan artist and his historical collaborations with figures such as Pablo Picasso. The exhibition highlights the conceptual value of 'sculpture in space' through three-dimensional pieces of remarkable geometric elegance.

Access to the exhibition is free of charge without the need for prior reservation. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 11:00h to 14:00h and from 18:00h to 21:00h. The exhibition will remain open in the hall until September 12, 2026.
