Temporary summer exhibitions at the CAAC (Monasterio de la Cartuja)
The Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo (CAAC) maintains its powerful summer lineup this week with several top-level simultaneous exhibitions, among which stand out 'Kupinduka' by Virginia Chihota, 'El espíritu de las formas' by Eladio Aguilera, and 'Cómo vivir en los intersticios' by Johanna Failer, in addition to the holdings from the Jorge M. Pérez collection.
Located in the historic Monasterio de la Cartuja on the Isla de la Cartuja, the center merges the industrial architecture of the old ceramic kilns with avant-garde proposals of contemporary painting, installation, and sculpture. It is a cultural oasis set apart from the urban bustle where art dialogues directly with the historic vestiges of the site.
The price of the general admission is 1,80€ (access to one exhibition) or 3,01€ (complete visit to all exhibitions), and it is also free on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons. It is advisable to take advantage of the final opening hours to enjoy the cool breeze on the banks of the Guadalquivir River.
