Gothic treasure in the Real Parroquia de Señora Santa Ana

Popularly known as the 'Cathedral of Triana', the Real Parroquia de Señora Santa Ana was commissioned to be built by King Alfonso X The Wise in the 13th century, making it the oldest newly constructed Christian temple in Seville. It is a jewel of Gothic-Mudejar architecture declared a Site of Cultural Interest.

The interior of the temple houses an impressive Renaissance main altarpiece with paintings by Pedro de Campaña, chapels with historic Triana tiles, the baptismal font where Rodrigo de Triana was baptized, and a relevant collection of goldsmithing and sacred sculpture in its chapter rooms.

Access for the cultural visit is made through a 3€ donation destined for the maintenance of the building. Visits are arranged outside of religious worship hours, usually from Monday to Friday in the morning and afternoon, allowing you to discover the historical heritage with explanatory information in the parish itself.
