Sara Jiménez - La compañía (Flamenco Biennial)
The restless Granada-Sevillian dancer and creator Sara Jiménez premieres her new stage proposal at the Teatro Central within the official program of the XXIV Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla. The artist has developed her own dance language, highly valued for combining the roots of flamenco dance with current conceptual and stage codes.
The show La compañía, which is presented as an absolute premiere, places a peculiar traveling troupe of remote characters on stage. With the stage co-direction of Juan Kruz Díaz de Garaio Esnaola and the live musical accompaniment of Ana Polanco, Raúl Cantizano, and Teresa Hernández, the production intertwines dance, live music, and dramatic narrative.
