Botanical walk through the Jardines Americanos and the Jardines del Guadalquivir

Located on the right bank of the Guadalquivir as it passes through the Isla de la Cartuja, the Jardines Americanos were prepared for the 1992 Universal Exposition to house one of the most varied collections of living neotropical botanical flora in Europe. Connected to the adjacent Jardines del Guadalquivir, they constitute a key fluvial green lung in the city.

The tour through their shaded paths allows you to discover more than 400 botanical species brought from the American continent, including ombúes, exotic palm trees, cacti, and large trees. The space features footbridges over the water, rest areas, pergolas, and paths suitable for cycling or a quiet walk in an environment away from the city center traffic.

The site has free and open access all year round. It is recommended to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon to enjoy the riverside freshness and the river's birdlife.
