Exhibition 'Kupinduka' by Virginia Chihota at the CAAC
The old Monasterio de la Cartuja hosts the first major institutional exhibition in Spain by the renowned Zimbabwean artist Virginia Chihota. Its cloisters and facilities combine historic medieval and Renaissance architecture with the most groundbreaking artistic expressions.
In the galleries of the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo, large-format paintings, drawings on paper, and textile installations created expressly for the center are exhibited. The work addresses concepts such as transit, motherhood, memory, and faith with overwhelming visual expressiveness.
The ticket costs 1.80€ (free from Tuesday to Friday from 19:00 to 21:00 and Saturdays all day). The general hours of the museum in summer are Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 21:00.
