Exposición Julio González: Forjar el vacío en Fundación Cajasol
The Sala Velázquez of the Fundación Cajasol dedicates an ambitious exhibition to the figure of the sculptor and pioneer of iron sculpture Julio González. The exhibition Forging the Void reviews the career of the Barcelona-born artist and his crucial role in the avant-gardes of the first half of the 20th century.
The displayed pieces include wrought iron sculptures, preparatory drawings, and engravings that show the transition from traditional figuration to the abstraction of forms in space. The rooms of the palace in Plaza San Francisco offer an ideal environment to appreciate the technical detail of each work.
The visit is free entry until capacity is reached. The exhibition is open to the public until September 12, 2026, from Monday to Saturday.
