Exhibition 'Hierve el huerto, ¡oh, oh!' by Irene Infantes

The Sevillian creator Irene Infantes presents in the Real Fábrica de Artillería the exhibition Hierve el huerto, ¡oh, oh!, a site-specific project designed especially for this iconic space of Andalusian industrial heritage. Curated by Blanca del Río, the exhibition reflects on the past of the site by connecting two of its key historical stages: its Andalusian agricultural origin as an area of orchards and citrus fruits and its subsequent conversion into a manufacturing and military complex.

Visitors will discover a plastic language based on textile and organic materials, such as waste wool and non-woven threads, which dialogue with the monumental architecture of the naves. Taking the orange and the bullet as central metaphors, the artist elaborates a poetic and sensory reading on the transformation of the territory, materials, and historical memory that inhabits the walls of the building.

Admission is totally free until capacity is reached. Since it is in its final opening days during the first fortnight of September, it is convenient to take advantage and visit it before its official closure on September 20, 2026.
