Exhibition of the Inquisition at the Castillo de San Jorge in Triana

On the banks of the Guadalquivir river and next to the Mercado de Triana stands the Centro de Interpretación del Castillo de San Jorge, an enclave that served as the seat of the Inquisition Tribunal of Seville between the 15th and 18th centuries.

The museum space allows you to tour the underground ruins of the old castle, the prisoners' cells, and information panels about the trials of faith and the social processes of the medieval and modern era.

The visit has free entry and is an immersion into the historical memory of the famous Triana neighborhood.
