Estévez / Paños y Compañía - Doncellas (Flamenco Biennial)
The prestigious lineup Estévez / Paños y Compañía takes the stage at the Teatro Central as part of the XXIV Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla. This company, led by Rafael Estévez and Valeriano Paños, stands out as one of the most innovative and rigorous dance proposals on the contemporary scene, having garnered top-level awards such as the National Dance Award.
The production Doncellas (juerga permanente) poses a choreographic investigation that reimagines historical flamenco 'juergas' as an avant-garde stage device. On stage, stylized movement, body percussion, and live rhythm are combined with a powerful aesthetic language, exploring the limits of 'arte jondo' without losing its fundamental roots.
The one-off performance will take place at 22:30h on September 27, 2026. Tickets are priced at 30€, so it is advisable to purchase tickets in advance before the venue reaches capacity.
