Military collection and history at the Museo Histórico Militar de Sevilla

Located in the north wing of the iconic Plaza de España (next to the Puerta de Aragón), the Museo Histórico Militar de Sevilla is a museum space ideal for history enthusiasts. It is heir to the funds of the old Artillery Workshop and the Military Pyrotechnics of the city.

The museum has more than 2,000 square meters distributed over three floors where models, historical uniforms, weaponry from different eras, flags, defensive masks, and navigation instruments are exhibited. Among its most valuable pieces are collections of swords, antique cannons, and memorabilia from the Peninsular War.

The venue can be visited with free admission. It is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 14:00 hours and Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00 hours (it remains closed on Sundays and holidays). For groups of more than 10 people, it is possible to request guided tours at no cost by prior booking via phone or email.
