Ciclo Asejazz en el Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo (CAAC)
The Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo (CAAC) has its headquarters in the historic Monasterio de la Cartuja de Santa María de las Cuevas, a monumental site located on the Isla de la Cartuja where monastic history merges with the most avant-garde artistic creation. Figures such as Christopher Columbus passed through this place, and centuries later, it functioned as a famous pottery and porcelain factory.
While touring the complex, you will encounter the old chapels, the main cloister flanked by the iconic industrial chimneys of the pottery factory, and large naves converted into temporary and permanent exhibition halls. The museum collects an excellent collection of contemporary art while preserving the archaeological footprint of its more than six centuries of history on the banks of the Guadalquivir.
The general rate is €3.01 (full visit to the monument and exhibitions) or €1.80 (exhibitions only). It offers free access from Tuesday to Friday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday in continuous hours and on Sunday mornings.
