A Gloria
The flamenco recital A Gloria marks the long-awaited solo debut of the young Utrera-born dancer Lucía Benavides. At just 18 years old, the artist presents a self-produced work that pays tribute to her mother, Eva Gloria, and by extension, to all women who serve as the family pillar. The show will be staged in the modern Cartuja Center CITE auditorium, with artistic direction by Luisa Palicio and musical direction by Jesús Rodríguez.
On stage, Lucía Benavides performs a detailed journey through different flamenco *palos* (styles) to convey the experiences, tenderness, and strength of the maternal figure. The dancer is accompanied by a musical group composed of the voices of Cristina Tovar, Marian Fernández, and Rocío Mayoral, together with the guitars of Álvaro Mora and Curro Vargas and the percussion of Fali del Eléctrico.
The event is on the night of October 10, 2026, at 21:00h. The venue has a state-of-the-art acoustic system that guarantees impeccable sound in all seats, which are available from 20€.
