Ornithological route through the Laguna de los Tollos

The Laguna de los Tollos is one of the most prominent endorheic lagoons in the Bajo Guadalquivir, located between the municipalities of El Cuervo de Sevilla and Jerez de la Frontera. After an intense environmental restoration process, today it is protected as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) within the European Natura 2000 network.

The space has a 3.4-kilometer circular trail accessible on foot or by bicycle, equipped with several wooden bird observatories. From these viewpoints, it is possible to spot protected species such as the red-knobbed coot, the white-headed duck, the flamingo, and various wading birds.

The tour is free access and free of charge, without the need for prior booking. It is advisable to go early in the day to observe greater activity of the fauna and bring binoculars to enjoy the sightings.
