Naturalist outreach at the Fábrica de Hielo Visitor Center
The Fábrica de Hielo Visitor Center is the main reception infrastructure for visitors to the Doñana National Park in Cadiz territory. Located in an old warehouse of the fishermen's guild in the Bajo de Guía neighborhood, it has been rehabilitated as an educational space about the mouth of the Guadalquivir.
The premises have two floors with models, interactive screens, and educational panels about the flora, fauna, and ecosystems of the national park. In addition, it dedicates a part of its exhibition to the history of navigation and maritime expeditions associated with Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
Admission to the exhibition space is totally free of charge. It is open Monday to Sunday from 9:00 to 20:00 in summer (from 9:00 to 19:00 from October to March), without the need for prior reservation for self-guided visits.
