Archaeological visit to the Roman Baths of La Luisiana
The Roman Baths of La Luisiana constitute a unique archaeological site of rural hydraulic architecture built next to the ancient Via Augusta to take advantage of the healing springs of the Carrión stream by the wealthier citizens of the Roman colony of Astigi.
The archaeological complex preserves the stepped pool of opus signinum waterproofing mortar, the underground structures of the heating system, and the outer wall with changing room pavilions built at the end of the 18th century. Next to the building is the traditional Fuente de los Borricos.
