Visit to the Palacio de Alcántara

The Palacio de Alcántara is one of the landmark examples of 18th-century palatial architecture in Écija. Its exterior facade stands out for the monumental stone carving of its baroque portal, presided over by the coat of arms of the Marquisate of Alcántara and its double-arched balcony.

The building preserves two majestic interior courtyards with porticoes, around which the main rooms are distributed. Reconverted into a municipal educational and cultural center, it allows one to appreciate the stately grandeur of the Astigitano baroque civil architecture.

The visit to its noble areas and porticoed courtyards is free of charge during school and institutional hours from Monday to Friday.
