9th Écija Popular Race: Route of the Monuments

The 9th Écija Popular Race: Route of the Monuments is one of the most popular and awaited sports and cultural events in the region. This night-time event invites you to tour the city's historic streets by running or cheering on the athletes along a route filled with visual charm. The competition also has a strong charitable purpose, as part of the proceeds are donated to social causes in the municipality.

The urban circuit is 5,200 meters long and crosses the most significant heritage corners of the old town, which feature special artistic lighting for the occasion. The start is located at the central Avenida Miguel de Cervantes and the finish line is located in the historic plaza of the San Juan Bautista Church, where a lively festive atmosphere gathers.

To participate as a runner, it is essential to complete a prior registration of €10 to €12 before the deadline. However, for spectators, attendance along the entire route is totally free of charge, with the time slot between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM being the best time to enjoy the passing of the athletes.
