Visit to the Antiquarium and the Roman vestiges of the Encarnación

The Antiquarium de Sevilla, located under the imposing avant-garde design of the Metropol Parasol in the Plaza de la Encarnación, houses the most important archaeological site from the Roman era discovered in the city's old town. The space allows you to walk on elevated walkways among real remains of dwellings, exceptional Roman mosaics, and vestiges of the Almohad and Andalusian periods.

The visit offers a fascinating architectural contrast between the contemporary wooden structure designed by Jürgen Mayer and the thousand-year-old foundations of Roman Hispalis, giving the visitor a unique historical perspective below street level.

The general admission price is 2.10€, being free on Sunday afternoons (starting at 2:00 PM) and for specific groups.

Tip: it is an excellent plan to take shelter from the midday heat thanks to its air-conditioned underground location.
