Visit to the Parroquia de San Lorenzo Mártir

The Parroquia de San Lorenzo Mártir is an iconic Gothic-Mudejar temple founded after the conquest of the city in the 13th century and deeply reformed during the 17th and 18th centuries. Located in the peaceful Plaza de San Lorenzo, it constitutes one of the poles of greatest devotional and monumental roots of the Sevillian center.

Inside its three naves, its imposing Retablo Mayor by Martínez Montañés stands out, considered a masterpiece of baroque altarpiece making, in addition to housing altars of historical brotherhoods such as the Soledad de San Lorenzo and the Dulce Nombre. Right next to the parish temple is the adjacent Basílica del Gran Poder.

Admission to the parish for a cultural or worship visit is with free access. General opening hours to the public are Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
