Exhibitions and activities at the Casa de las Sirenas
The Centro Cívico Casa de las Sirenas is a 19th-century French-style mansion presiding over the north flank of the Alameda de Hércules. This elegant neoclassical building, ordered to be built by the Marquis of Esquivel, owes its popular name to the two mythological bronze sphinxes that guarded its portal over the square.
Currently converted into a cultural center of the Seville City Council, its interior rooms and central courtyard permanently host a dynamic program of photography exhibitions, painting, local historical exhibits, literary presentations, and associative workshops open to the neighborhood.
Access to the building and its temporary exhibitions is completely free. It remains open to the public from Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
