Bien vale un imperio
Sevillian dancer Paula Comitre presents Bien vale un imperio, an ambitious creation of dance and flamenco music dedicated to the historical figure of Pastora Imperio. The performance will take place at the iconic Teatro Lope de Vega, serving as a special setting for the commemoration of International Flamenco Day. The proposal constitutes the second chapter of her Silver Age Female Trilogy.
On stage, the dancer does not limit herself to reconstructing the past but projects a contemporary look supported by a trio of guitars with disparate sounds (classical, flamenco, and experimental) by Francis Gómez, Pedro Rojas Ogáyar, and Jesús Rodríguez. The stage space and costumes have been designed by the artist duo Fuentesal Arenillas.
The single performance will be held on November 16, 2026, at 19:00h. Ticket prices range between 4€ and 21€, so it is advisable to book in advance given the relevance of the event on the Sevillian theater's schedule.
