Visit to the Museo de Arte Sacro del Convento del Santo Ángel

The Museo de Arte Sacro del Convento del Santo Ángel (known as MUSAN) is one of the most prominent and unknown convent baroque galleries in the historic center. Located in the premises of the Discalced Carmelites community on the central Calle Rioja, this museum space houses a valuable collection of painting and sculpture accumulated over more than four centuries of history.

Throughout its tour distributed in several exhibition rooms, visitors can contemplate pictorial works attributed to masters such as Rubens, Luca Giordano, and Luis de Morales, in addition to an impressive collection of sacred sculpture with pieces by Pedro Roldán and the Martínez Montañés workshop. Its extensive collection of baroque images of the Child Jesus and the historical convent library also stand out.

The venue remains open to the public from Monday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, remaining closed on Sundays. General admission has a cost of €5 that goes directly to the maintenance and conservation of the artistic heritage of the temple.
