Tour of the great Spanish painting at the Museo de Bellas Artes

The Museo de Bellas Artes de Sevilla is considered the second most important art gallery in Spain, only behind the Museo del Prado. It occupies the former Convento de la Merced Calzada, a 17th-century building articulated around cloisters and gardens that house a unique collection of the Seville school of the Siglo de Oro.

In its 14 permanent exhibition rooms, masterpieces by Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, Francisco de Zurbarán, and Diego Velázquez stand out. Its large conventual church has been transformed into a spectacular exhibition space where one can contemplate Baroque altarpieces and imagery.

The general admission price is 1.50€, and it is free for accredited European Union citizens. The opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 to 21:00 and Sundays from 9:00 to 15:00 (it remains closed on Mondays).
