[REC]uerdos. Life through home movies at CaixaForum

The cultural space CaixaForum Sevilla hosts the exhibition "[Rec]uerdos. La vida a través del cine doméstico", an evocative proposal that examines intra-history and collective memory through family films, reels in old formats, and home recordings recovered from different eras of the 20th century.

The exhibition proposes an intimate and sociological journey through the daily habits, celebrations, travels, and aesthetic changes of society through the gaze of the anonymous citizens themselves who held video and Super 8 cameras. Visitors will discover how image capture technologies evolved and how these private visual archives have become a documentary heritage of incalculable value regarding the emotional memory of several generations.

The exhibition is open during the center's general hours, every day from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and will remain active throughout the period with access included in the center's general admission (€6 or free for preferred groups such as CaixaBank customers and minors). It also features complementary reading and mediation spaces.

It is a highly recommended plan for couples and lovers of visual anthropology and social history, ideal for touring calmly in the afternoon hours.
