Paseo y atardecer en la Plaza de España y el Parque de María Luisa

The Parque de María Luisa is the most famous historic green lung of Seville, originally designed as the gardens of the Palacio de San Telmo and donated to the city at the end of the 19th century. This botanical space combines monumental fountains, ponds, gazebos dedicated to poets, and lush vegetation populated by birds.

At one of its ends stands the monumental Plaza de España, designed by Aníbal González for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. This imposing semicircular architectural complex, flanked by two towers and crisscrossed by a navigable canal, stands out for its provincial benches decorated with tiles representing the different Spanish provinces.

Access is completely free and open at any time of the day, as it is a public open space. It is an ideal plan to walk at sunset while taking advantage of the drop in temperatures that September brings to the capital.
