Romantic walk through the Jardines de las Delicias

The Jardines de las Delicias de Arjona constitute the first public garden in the romantic style projected in Seville at the beginning of the 19th century. Located along the promenade of the Guadalquivir, next to the Parque de María Luisa, they are cataloged as a Bien de Interés Cultural in the category of Historic Garden.

The landscaped layout combines albero sand paths, winding trails, and circular tree-lined rotundas surrounded by botanical species from various continents. Inside, there are more than fifty baroque and rococo style sculptures, busts, and pedestals from the old archbishop's palace of Umbrete, among which the Glorieta de Venus and the Glorieta de Urania stand out.

Access to these gardens is totally free and open 24 hours a day. It is a quiet and shaded area, ideal for walking during the sunset hours.
