Numismatics and philately market in the Plaza del Cabildo

Hidden just a few meters from the Cathedral but sheltered from pedestrian hustle and bustle, the Plaza del Cabildo is one of the most charming and photogenic urban corners of Seville. Designed in the mid-20th century on the former site of the Colegio de San Miguel, this semicircular square stands out for its arcades supported on marble columns decorated with water frescoes by the painter José Luis Tello and for preserving a stretch of the ancient Almohad wall.

Every weekend, the space hosts the Mercadillo de Filatelia y Numismática de la Plaza del Cabildo, an essential meeting point for collectors and seekers of historical curiosities. Among the portable stalls installed under the galleries, you can find ancient coins, vintage banknotes, stamps from all over the world, minerals, historical postcards, and all kinds of small collectibles.

The market offers free admission and is held exclusively on Sundays from 09:00 to 14:00. Accessing the square is easily done through pedestrian passages from Avenida de la Constitución or the streets calle Arfe and calle Almirantazgo.
