Active reading and storytelling at the children's room of the Biblioteca Julia Uceda

Located in the Centro Cívico Hogar San Fernando, on calle Don Fadrique, 57-59 (Macarena district), the Biblioteca Municipal Julia Uceda houses the only children's room in the Seville municipal network designed from scratch with adapted and ergonomic furniture for children. This public cultural space offers a quiet and free refuge for families looking to foster reading habits through workshops, reading laboratories, and storytelling. Access to the facilities and all their activities is completely free.

The room is equipped with informal reading corners with cushions and carpets, low shelves with illustrated albums, children's comics, young adult literature, and a didactic play area. Periodically, *"Story Hour"* activities and reading promotion workshops are held where oral storytellers perform stories for children aged between 3 and 10.

The library's general hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 21:00 (during the summer period from 9:00 to 14:00). To participate in the workshops and storytelling, it is advisable to check the municipal network's agenda, as some sessions require prior registration due to limited capacity.
