Jewel of high Baroque at the Iglesia de San Luis de los Franceses

The Iglesia de San Luis de los Franceses is one of the undisputed summits of Baroque architecture in Andalusia. Designed by the architect Diego Antonio Díaz and built in the early 18th century for the Jesuit order, this temple surprises visitors with its exuberant interior decoration, where a Greek cross floor plan and an impressive, profusely ornamented central dome converge.

The tour allows you to admire the gilded altarpieces, mural paintings, and the domestic chapel, known as the Sagraria, which constitutes an authentic showcase of the artistic and theological splendor of the period. It is a monumental desacralized space that impresses with the meticulous detail of its plasterwork and trompe l'oeil.
