Jewel of high Baroque at the Iglesia de San Luis de los Franceses

The Iglesia de San Luis de los Franceses is one of the most dazzling and best-preserved monuments of the high Baroque in Spain. Designed by the architect Leonardo de Figueroa between 1699 and 1731 for the Society of Jesus, it stands out for its Greek cross plan and its Baroque exterior facade.

Inside, the great dome painted with frescoes by Lucas Valdés is breathtaking, as well as the main altarpiece by Pedro Duque Cornejo. The visit also includes a tour of the underground crypt and the Jesuit domestic chapel.

General admission costs 4€ (1€ for residents of Seville), offering free access on Sunday afternoons. It remains open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00.
