Exhibition 'The Wandering Body. Spanish Exile, 1939-1975'
The Casa de la Provincia, dependent on the Diputación de Sevilla and located in the Plaza del Triunfo next to the Cathedral, hosts the documentary and historical exhibition El cuerpo errante. Exilio español, 1939-1975. This proposal analyzes the human, intellectual, and social impact of the forced migrations after the end of the Spanish Civil War.
The exhibition brings together period photographs, personal letters, archival documents, periodicals, and audiovisual testimonies of Andalusian exiles in Europe and America. Through several chronological blocks, the exhibition pays tribute to historical memory and the preservation of cultural legacy in the diaspora.
The exhibition has free admission for the general public. Opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00h to 14:00h and from 18:00h to 21:00h, and Sundays and holidays from 10:00h to 14:00h. It will remain open until October 30, 2026.
