'The Wandering Body. Spanish Exile, 1939-1975' Exhibition at the Casa de la Provincia

The Casa de la Provincia, located in the central Plaza del Triunfo in Seville, presents the temporary exhibition El cuerpo errante. Exilio español, 1939-1975. This historical outreach initiative analyzes the human, cultural, and intellectual repercussions of the republican exodus after the end of the Spanish Civil War and throughout the dictatorship.

The itinerary consists of archival documents, period photographs, personal correspondence, original publications, and audiovisual testimonies of men and women who had to rebuild their lives in Latin America and Europe. Through this valuable historical material, it reflects on the preservation of democratic memory, the trauma of uprooting, and the relevance of human rights in forced displacement.

The tour features free admission and does not require prior booking. Due to its unbeatable location, next to the Cathedral and the Reales Alcázares, it constitutes a very comfortable and instructive proposal to complement a monumental tour of the historic center of Seville during the mornings or afternoons.
