Tour of the Cerro de San Cristóbal and the Torre del Homenaje

Crowning the summit of Estepa is the Cerro de San Cristóbal, the fortified enclave that served as the defensive origin of the ancient town of Istabba. This historical site houses medieval fortifications, baroque convents, and the famous viewpoint popularly known as the Balcón de Andalucía for its spectacular views over the Sevillian countryside.

The guided tour covers the grounds of the ancient Islamic alcazaba, the imposing 14th-century Torre del Homenaje built by the Order of Santiago, and the Centro de Interpretación Estepa Tartésica. The cost of the guided experience is 4.40€ per person, with regular daily passes at 11:00h and 16:30h starting from the Torre Ochavada.

It is easily accessible by car to the parking lot on the hill itself. It is essential to make a mandatory prior reservation by phone through the tourist information point before going up.
