Historical walk through the Ruins of the Castillo and Ermita de la Virgen del Castillo

The Historical walk through the Ruins of the Castillo and Ermita de la Virgen del Castillo leads the visitor to the city's original defensive hill, from where one can contemplate a complete panoramic view of the countryside and the marshes of the Guadalquivir.

The route runs between the old fortified walls of Andalusi and Mudéjar origin until reaching the beautiful hermitage that shelters the patron saint of Lebrija. It is a perfect spot to walk as a couple during winter sunsets.

The open-air site has Free admission and is accessed via a cobbled climb from Calle Castillo. It is recommended to go in the late afternoon with comfortable footwear.
