Marshland sunset at the Mirador de Trebujena

The Mirador de las Marismas de Trebujena offers a panoramic view over the final stretch of the Guadalquivir River and its estuaries. The luminous beauty of this marsh landscape motivated director Steven Spielberg to film the movie Empire of the Sun in this enclave in 1987.

At dusk, the terraces located at the edge of the marsh allow you to observe the contrast between the riverbed, the limestone hills (albariza), and the streams where aquatic birds nest. It is a privileged place to photograph scenes of flamingos and herons at sunset over the Doñana horizon.

The space is open and free of charge all year round. The best time to visit is approximately one hour before sunset, with easy parking at the designated entrances near the Carretera del Práctico.
