Discovery of the secret baroque at the Iglesia de Los Descalzos

Considered one of the most unknown summits of the Andalusian baroque, the Iglesia del Convento de Los Descalzos dazzles with its exuberant decoration in plasterwork, polychrome shrines, and a historic organ with an ornate case. Belonging to the Discalced Carmelites order, the church preserves its mystical atmosphere intact.

Visitors gaze upon altarpieces covered in gold leaf and frescoes of singular delicacy on walls and vaults. The temple can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00h to 13:30h by paying a 2.50€ general rate entrance fee.
