Traditional tasting and shopping at the Municipal Food Market

The gastronomic and daily heart of the city beats in the Mercado Municipal de Abastos de Écija, a traditional enclosure where local producers offer fruits from the Genil valley, cold meats, and the famous extra virgin olive oil of the countryside. The visit allows you to get a feel for daily life in Écija.

In addition to browsing among the fresh fish and meat stalls, visitors can make a stop at the nearby traditional pastry shops to taste the famous Yemas de Écija. The market is open from Monday to Saturday from 8:00h to 14:30h with free and open access.
