Tasting of Cloistered 'Bizcochos Marroquíes'

One of the most authentic gastronomic experiences in Écija is the acquisition of the traditional Bizcochos Marroquíes de las Concepcionistas. Handcrafted following a secret recipe passed down since the 18th century, these fluffy sponge cakes are famous throughout the province.

The purchase is made directly through the traditional wooden cloister turnstile located at the door of the convent temple. Boxes of the famous artisanal sweet are sold from 5€ as a gourmet gift or an irreplaceable sweet treat during the visit.
