Purchase of Moroccan Biscuits at the Convento de Santa Florentina

The Convento de Santa Florentina preserves one of the most famous convent baking traditions in Andalusia. The cloistered Dominican nuns handcraft the famous Moroccan biscuits following a secret recipe documented since the 18th century.

The purchase process is carried out through the traditional wooden turnstile at the monastery's porter's lodge. Upon ringing the bell, the visitor orders the boxes of sponge biscuits, made exclusively with egg, sugar, and wheat starch, directly from the nuns.

The sweets cost from €6 per box depending on the selected size. The convent is open in the morning and afternoon from Monday to Saturday, making it an authentic gastronomic plan far from commercial shops.
