Monumental Visit to the Alcázar del Rey Don Pedro
Erected in the highest area of the city over Roman and Islamic remains, the Alcázar del Rey Don Pedro was transformed into a sumptuous fortified palace by order of Peter I in the 14th century. Today its restored ruins house the facilities of the Parador de Carmona.
The walk allows you to admire the remains of the defensive wall, the moat, and the monumental Puerta de Córdoba from the heights, in addition to enjoying a coffee or refreshment on the majestic terrace of the Parador, looking directly out over the immensity of the vega.
Access to the exterior areas and the courtyard of the premises is free admission, with refreshments in the cafeteria subject to the Parador's restaurant rates.
