Visit to the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Setefilla

The Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Setefilla, nestled in the foothills of Sierra Morena 12 kilometers from Lora del Río, is one of the most significant centers of Marian devotion in the province. Erected in a natural setting surrounded by mountains next to the remains of the ancient medieval castle of Setefilla, the building combines 15th-century Mudejar origins with important 18th-century Baroque additions.

The site stands out for its whitewashed facades framed by an exterior portico with semicircular arches. Inside the three naves, the wooden ceilings, an ornate Baroque main chapel with a dome on pendentives, and the main altarpiece sheltering the image of the venerated patron saint of Lora stand out, surrounded by a remarkable collection of historical *vítores* and *exvotos*.

The visit to the temple is free entry and has free access. It opens its doors in the morning from 11:00h to 13:00h and in the afternoon from 19:00h to 21:00h (adapting opening hours in summer to 9:00h-13:00h and 18:00h-21:00h). It is recommended to combine the spiritual itinerary with a walk along the natural trails of the area.
