Ascent to the Baroque viewpoint of the Torre de San Juan

Écija is known internationally as the "City of Towers" for the unmistakable Baroque profile of its tiled bell towers. At the Iglesia de San Juan Evangelista de Écija, it is possible to ascend its imposing tower with a €2 donation.

The climb up the interior spiral staircase allows you to see up close the ornamental brickwork, the 18th-century polychrome tiles, and the eight historic bells of the belfry, culminating in a panoramic view over the eleven towers and white roofs of the city.

It is advisable to go up in the late afternoon to enjoy the sunset tinting the Baroque bell towers. Access requires climbing narrow steps, so it is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
