Monumental exploration of the Palacio de Peñaflor and its great baroque balcony

The Palacio de Peñaflor is one of the greatest exponents of Andalusian civil Baroque architecture and the great monumental icon of Écija, internationally famous for its unique curved façade and its great ornamental wealth. Its exterior and interior structure reflects the power and opulence of the Écija nobility of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Upon entering the building, the visitor discovers a magnificent porticoed central courtyard, an imperial honor staircase with rich plasterwork, and galleries decorated with mural paintings that have survived the passage of centuries. It is a living testimony of local history that deserves to be toured unhurriedly to appreciate the detail of its craftsmanship and historical carpentry.
