Discovery of the monumental Puerta de Córdoba

The Puerta de Córdoba is one of the most fascinating monumental gateways in Carmona, originally designed in the Roman era to connect the city with the ancient Via Augusta in the direction of Corduba.

Renovated in the 18th century with a sober Baroque design, the gate is flanked by powerful towers and preserved sections of the historic wall. It is the perfect starting point to walk along the walled perimeter of the eastern area.

The monument is located on the public thoroughfare with free access 24 hours a day.
