Guided tour of the Museo de la Cal de Morón

The Museo de la Cal de Morón highlights a unique artisanal tradition that was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2011. Located in the village of Las Calderas, it keeps alive the memory of the traditional lime burners who supplied all of Andalusia for centuries for the whitewashing of houses and monuments.

All visits are guided by lime artisan experts and last approximately one hour and a half. The tour includes the screening of an introductory documentary and the inspection of two fully restored 19th-century traditional kilns. The rate is 3€ per person in groups (minimum 7 people), also offering a personalized visit for 20€ for small groups of up to 7 people.

The museum is located 25 minutes from Utrera via the A-361 road. Since visits are always guided and require an appointment through the organization, it is essential to contact in advance before traveling.
