Cultural visit to the Castillo de Utrera

The Castillo de Los Molares is a fortification of medieval origin built at the beginning of the 14th century by Lope de Haro to defend the Christian border against the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada. After centuries of history and several transformations, the fortress was restored at the end of the 19th century by the Utrera dignitary Enrique de la Cuadra, currently housing the municipal historical heritage.

Inside the fortified enclosure, you can tour the pentagonal keep, the battlemented walls, and the historical interpretation center. General admission is priced at 3€ (free for registered residents of Los Molares), allowing you to learn about everything from megalithic remains to the audiovisual recreation of the old Silk Fair.

It is located just 10 minutes by car from Utrera crossing the A-375. It is an ideal plan to combine with a walk through the town center or a traditional meal in the bars near the main square.
