Gastronomic route and visit to the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Consolación

The Santuario Diocesano de Nuestra Señora de Consolación is the temple with the greatest devotional and historical projection in Utrera. Built in the 16th century over an old hermitage, this building brings together Renaissance and Baroque architectural elements, standing out for housing the patron saint of the city and having been a center of jubilee pilgrimage for centuries.

Inside, visitors can admire a magnificent 16th-century wooden mudéjar coffered ceiling in the central nave, as well as a Baroque high altarpiece of great decorative exuberance. In addition, the site houses a small sacred museum with liturgical vestments, historical ex-votos, and priceless gold and silver work.

Access to the temple area is Free admission, usually opening from 08:00h to 13:00h and from 16:30h to 19:00h. It is located at the end of the Paseo de Consolación, so it is recommended to combine the visit with a walk along the tree-lined avenue.
