Heritage tour of the Iglesia de Santa María la Blanca

Popularly known as the church of the three cultures, the Iglesia de Santa María la Blanca synthesizes the living history of Seville. Originally built as a Visigothic temple, later transformed into a mosque, and converted into the main synagogue of the Jewish quarter after the reconquest, it was rebuilt in the 17th century as a dazzling Baroque temple.

Its interior impacts due to the exuberance of its Borrominesque-style plasterwork designed by Pedro Roldán and the famous pictorial compositions associated with Murillo. The temple also has a museum and exhibition hall annex on Archeros street where sacred art pieces and archaeological vestiges recovered during its restoration are exhibited.

Entrance to the main temple for the visit is free access, opening in the morning from 10:30 to 13:00 and afternoons from 18:00 to 19:30. To access the exhibition hall and annex museum, a donation of 2€ is requested for the conservation of the building.
