Visit to the Hermitage and Almohad Minaret of Cuatrovitas
The Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Cuatrovitas is an exceptional heritage and historical treasure in the Aljarafe region. Built in the 12th century over an old Almohad mosque, it preserves its famous brick minaret intact, later transformed into a Christian bell tower, being one of the best examples of Andalusian architecture preserved in the province.
Inside the building, you can see the structure of the nave adapted to Christian worship and the venerated image of the patron saint. Furthermore, the rural environment of olive groves and the surrounding archaeological site allow for an understanding of the evolution of medieval settlements in the area.
Access to the site has free entry during its opening hours of Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00. It is located about 14 minutes by car from Mairena via the A-474 road in the direction of Aznalcázar.
